Did you know cats have five toes on their front paws, but only four toes on their back? This extra toe is what sets the cat, domestic and wild, apart from the rest of the animal kingdom. This extra toe works similarly to the human thumb and allows the cat to grab and hold onto whatever it wants. They also use their claws to ensure nothing escapes, or for climbing. Cats can also retract their claws and just give you a friendly paw.
What does this have to do with marketing? In general, nothing. But what makes one marketer unique from another? it’s not having an extra toe, but it is having a different mind set…that of an entrepreneur rather than just a marketer. Entrepreneurs are the innovators, the leaders in any given industry, they take risks but they also garner the rewards. Like the cat they reach out and hold onto what they want, and they know when to extend their claws, and when to retract them.
I love this! I’ve been thinking lately about how any supposed a20;radic2l” nature of blogging has been tamed by PR reasserting control over the conversation. It’s not anti-monetization per se, but I feel like traditional media has found a way to control the blogosphere.I would love to be part of the type of niche you describe. Please classify me by my thoughts and interests instead of you lifestyle. I’m in the Quirky niche.KeAnne posted
