About Cats in the Kitchen
Because your kitchen deserves a little mischief.
I’ve been sewing since childhood, and creating has always been my way to bring beauty, joy, and a touch of whimsy into everyday life. My inspiration comes from the clean lines and playful sophistication of mid-century modern design — from the architecture to the artistry. Quilting and designing especially allow me to express myself, but whether it’s a handcrafted apron, placemat, or pet bowl stand, my goal is the same: to make the ordinary extraordinary (and maybe a little mischievous).
Of course, Cats in the Kitchen isn’t a one-woman show. I’m backed by a team of feline executives who ensure that every product is stylish, functional, and, above all, cat-approved.
Meet the Team
Ron – Chief of Operations
My big, orange Scottish Fold and the sweetest cuddle bug. Ron never leaves the sewing room, faithfully supervising from his favorite post. His calm presence keeps everything running smoothly.
Steve – Artistic Director
A pedigree Bengal with a personality as bold as his coat. Steve is nosy, gorgeous, and larger-than-life. He plays fetch, rides in a stroller during 5Ks, and runs on his wheel for fun. He also steals — fabric, pens, hearts. His flair for drama makes him the perfect creative director.
Pansy & Murphy – Product Testers
Quiet but determined, Pansy (a Scottish Fold) and her feral friend Murphy prefer their space —until there’s a new product to try. Comfort connoisseurs and sticklers for quality, they’re the first to put new bowls, mats, or quilts to the test.
Hairry – Head of Security
A silver-blue Maine Coon and mother figure of the team. Hairry greets everyone at the door like a hostess, while also protecting her fellow cats with a watchful, loving eye.
Snorre – Head Designer
Our Norwegian Forest Cat, Snorre is the elegant prom queen of the group. Graceful, sweet, and absolutely stunning, she inspires designs that balance beauty with warmth.
The Highlanders – Junior Design Team (Cheddar, Wilson, Newton)
Chaos in triplicate. Cheddar is the proud gift-bringer, Wilson is the gentle giant and sketchpad sitter, and Newton is the curious pen-thief. Together, they keep the design room lively —sometimes too lively — and always creative.
